About Richard Yasny
Richard Yasny is a Toronto based tax lawyer who represents clients exclusively in their income tax and GST/HST disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency. Mr. Yasny is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and holds a Master of Laws degree (Tax) from York University (Osgoode Hall Law School). He began his law practice in 1992 in the tax group of a full-service law firm in downtown Toronto. Thereafter, he practised in the international tax advisory group of a multinational accounting firm. Currently, he represents clients exclusively in their income tax and GST/HST disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Mr. Yasny represents clients on audits and objections with the CRA and on appeals to the Tax Court of Canada, always with the goal of achieving efficient and fair resolutions. He has authored many articles on tax litigation and technical topics for various tax publications and assists in the editing of Thomson Reuters’ The Practitioner’s Income Tax Act and The Practitioner’s Goods and Services Tax Annotated.
